Summer has arrived! And that means more time spent outdoors away from the distractions of the interweb and more reading time. Of course, that means I'm still behind with writing up reviews, especially as it's too hot to have the laptop on for long. Why can't it blow out cold air?

ReplyDeleteTo be fair I've been reading Railsea forever!
DeleteI really like the sound of The Glimpse and Blackbirds. Hope you enjoy them all.

Holy cow! 7 books in one week? That sounds mighty impressive to me.
ReplyDeleteAt my bookstore we sell a lapdesk that has a mini fan built into it, so that when you're working with your laptop on it, your computer doesn't overheat itself (or you. I expect you might be able to find something similar where you are.
Ah yes I've had the bases with fans in but didn't find they made much difference. Probably healthier for the laptop but they still generate unwanted heat :(
DeleteHappy reading this week - looks like you've been doing a ton of reading!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are YOU reading??
Wow, you read 7 books last week? That means a book a day... I'm astonished!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to enjoy your outdoor reading, for me that's something impossible. Bugs are always bugging me.
It's more like 6 as I was half way through two of them at the start of the week...and 2 of the others were novellas. So looks more impressive than it is.
DeleteHow is Blackbirds? I love the cover art, I'm trying to keep myself from buying books just for cover art.
ReplyDeleteReview should be done tomorrow for Blackbirds which I did indeed buy for the cover. I enjoyed it though it won't be to everyone's taste, similar to Chuck Palahniuk I think.
