AKA Showcase Sunday

Yesterday I was feeling a bit glum as lots of other bloggers were announcing exciting arrivals in the post on Twitter (some of which I'm hoping to get too) and all my post contained was a letter about my pension. Boo! Still, I did get some great books this week (and lovely Lynsey realised she'd forgotten about me and sent me The War of the Wives) so I can't complain too much. I have managed to get through a few NetGalleys as part of Review Copy Cleanup so I didn't even feel all that guilty clicking that READ NOW button on Shadows. Seriously excited by this one...I mean do you remember the end of Ashes?

I also bought a lovely bracelet from Etsy made from old typewriter keys. Birgit has a discount code on her blog, so to find out more info I shall direct you to The Book Garden.

For Review:
Twisted Symmetry by Benjamin J. Myers (Orion)
The Last Good Man by A.J. Kazinski (Simon & Schuster)
The Death Sculptor by Chris Carter (Simon & Schuster)
The War of the Wives by Tamar Cohen (Doubleday)
Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick (Egmont USA)

Frost Child by Gillian Philip

The Dark Pages

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

  1. Always a pleasure being an enabler when it comes to cute stuff! Love that bracelet!!

BTW the current feature with "Bookish Charm" also offers a coupon AND there's a giveaway going on too until August 21st. So, if you (or anyone else who reads this, of course) haven't checked it out (yet) feel free to stop by!

    1. I have spread the word on Twitter...trying to resist more spending. o_O

  2. Awesome haul this week! You always get such lovely books to read. I love your new bracelet!
    Happy Reading,

  3. Aww, I would be depressed if I had a letter about my pension too! :) Great book haul, and I don't blame you for clicking on Shadows. The end in Ashes was such a cliffhanger! Enjoy all your reads and your beautiful bracelet, Ellie!

  4. Oh, wow, I LOVE that bracelet! Thanks for directing us to the link :) I haven't heard of any of those books but they look good. Happy reading! =)

  6. I love the bracelet! I ordered a bracelet from Etsy a few weeks ago as well.

Everyone loves comments, right? I read them all and do my best to visit your blog if you leave a link (and you're not a spambot).
