It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Did you miss me? What? You didn't even notice I missed my memes last week? To be fair I only went two days without blogging (although it felt longer) because I was off watching this:

Otis Barbotiere The Rose Garden
Mark Todd Borough Pennyz

Yup, I went to see the Oympic eventing at Greenwich Park and it was fantastic (click through to Flickr to see more, am still sorting through photos). The Olympics has been a bit distracting all round and aren't Team GB doing so well? I'm wondering if I'll get more out of doing this fortnightly anyway...but onto the books! I'm still "currently reading" Bed of Nails and I will get back to it eventually (it's not a long book just not in the mood). Instead I've been enjoying some easier reading.

Read last fortnight:
666 Park Avenue by Gabriella Pierce
The Violinist's Thumb by Sam Kean
The Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
John Doe by Tess Gerritsen
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Blackwood by Gwenda Bond
13 by Kelley Armstrong

Currently reading:
Bed of Nails by Antonin Varenne
Archipelago by Monique Roffey

Upcoming reads:
The Somnambulist by Essie Fox

Also on the blog:
Review Copy Cleanup Goals | August Sci-Fi Link-Up
Competition: Meet Deborah Harkness! | Incoming! (Bumper Edition)
The Masque of the Red Death Giveaway

Search terms:*

"does jez die in tide line"
Read the book!

"dreads monsters"
Scared or looking for monster dreadlocks?

"scary dracula fingers"
What's so scary about his fingers?

"multi hand monsters gothic"
What's with the monster parts? It's not Halloween yet!

"afro steampunk"
I think this goes with the monster dreads...

*Idea stolen borrowed from Amanda's Clock Rewinders feature.

  1. Not heard of this one Ellie - what do you think of it? I am reading a wee cheapo I picked up in walmart called Breathless encounter by Cindy Dees. I think it is a mills and boons type but there is a weird twist coming.
