AKA Showcase Sunday

I think my cold put me off any book buying expeditions this week, even if I was in London for two days! Dash & Lily is actually from the week before but it came by "NetGalley widget" (I finally know what that is now) and I forgot I had it. I won the new Darren Shan from Crime Fiction Lover.

For Review:
Paramedico by Benjamin Gilmour (The Friday Project)
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan (Mira Ink)
The Horologicon by Mark Forsyth (Icon Books)

The Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs

The Lady of the Shades by Darren Shan

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

  1. Ooh some gorgeous covers in there.. and I still don't know what the NetGalley widget is. :p

    1. It's when the publisher emails you with a special link which makes the galley available as soon as you log in. I have wondered for sinking what a widget was I why I didn't have any! ;)

    2. Er sinking = so long. Serves me right Fromm commenting via phone.

  2. The Lady of Shades! I have to find out what you think, Ellie! Saw this book advertised, and it sounded quite dark.
Also, The Dark Heroine was fab. I've never heard of canse12 before, so I can't compare the book before and after editing, but it's got an authentic teenage voice, and Abbie definitely has guts and talent aplenty. I'll be reading more of her for sure ;) Enjoy all your books!

  3. I've heard so much about Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, so I hope it's good! Enjoy! :)

  4. I'm very curious to read The Dark Heroine and Dash and Lily has been on my shelves for AGES! I htink I'm waiting until closer to Christmas to start reading it :)

  5. "The sexiest romance of this year"? I can't wait for your review of The Dark Heroine ;) I've read good things about Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. Curious about The Horologicon.
