AKA Showcase Sunday

This week has been a busy book-filled week and I think I have been quite restrained in the face of temptation. I know, you’re looking at that photo thinking I must not know the definition of restrained. It could have been so much worse. Have been to the Simon & Schuster blogger event, the Firestation Book Swap (Portsmouth) and CSI Portsmouth plus it was my birthday yesterday! That does mean I also have a bunch of Amazon vouchers to spend too…

Dodger, The First Last Kiss, Dead Man’s Land and The Painted Bridge are all signed and I also met the lovely Tanya Byrne at book swap who signed my copy of Heart-Shaped Bruise. Behind the Sofa is a crowd-funded (so my name is in the back) book in aid of Alzheimer’s Research, filled with celebrity memories of Doctor Who and illustrated by Ben Morris. Whilst it’s too late to be a “donor” you can now buy the book from various retailers.

For Review:
The Painted Bridge by Wendy Wallace (Simon & Schuster)
The First Last Kiss by Ali Harris (Simon & Schuster)
Dead Man’s Land by Robert Ryan (Simon & Schuster)
A Winter Flame by Milly Johnson (Simon & Schuster)
Fever by Mary Beth Keane (Simon & Schuster)
Amped by Daniel H. Wilson (Simon & Schuster)
When It Happens to You by Molly Ringwald (Simon & Schuster)
Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black (Bloomsbury)

Bought:
Behind the Sofa

Gifts:
Dodger by Terry Pratchett
The Bat by Jo Nesbo

Won:
Breathe by Sarah Crossman (Readaraptor)

And as this is the birthday edition, there’s a few non-books too. A Moleskine reading journal (with stickers to express my feelings on the books), Big Bang Theory boxset and Homeland season one (which I haven’t seen any of but keep hearing good things about). Oh yeah and wine…

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.
