Incoming!

AKA Showcase Sunday

Hope everyone has been enjoying their holidays. I may have just fallen into The Works today so my pile has doubled. And I thought I was being restrained in the face of the Kindle sale...who can resist the lure of 3 for a fiver?

Thanks to Hanna for my Secret Santa presents (Chocolate Wars and The Forest of Hands and Teeth). Both of these were books I really wanted, so YAY!

Under the tree:
Chocolate Wars by Deborah Cadbury
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Stray Souls by Kate Griffin
The Grim Company by Luke Scull

A Million Suns by Beth Revis
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward

    1. Yes, my local one always has loads of YA. I was looking for JR Ward though which they had magically run out of. Typical ;)

  2. The Works is awesome at the moment, isn't it? I could buy so many books from them.

New World Fairy Tales looks very interesting, I'll look forward to your review of it.

  3. Awesomely chilling and zombie-infested ... I already know, you're going to luuuuv "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" as much as I did!

And what's that? You haven't read "A Million Suns" yet? Wise decision! I read it this spring only to find out I had to wait until next January before the last part in the trilogy comes out, argh!

On to the Iron Fey books ... uhm, well, let's just say I read the first book and it left me slightly underwhelmed, but hey, good luck to you with the series!

  4. Ahaha! I felt that way in The Works yesterday, Ellie, but resisted and only bought two books. There is always 1 book I really want and I don't want to buy two more to get 3 for a fiver :)) Great haul this week, enjoy!

  6. Good haul, I have a fair few or the J R Ward books to read - I read one out of sequence ages ago, found they were a series and started buying them. Good haul

  7. Hanna is perfect with pressies, isn't she? :D

Oh I picked up Iron Knight in the Works too! I had 1-3 already from a giveaway so happy to have them all now. Whether I'll enjoy them or not is another question entirely.
Mebbe I could do a VLOG about it? :o
