AKA Showcase Sunday

I’ve got to the point where I don’t even add library books onto my TBR as I am forever not reading them. I had a pile from before Christmas that I really need to return too; I just know I’m not going to get round to them soon. But Karina suggested I check out the library for the Justina Robson books and magically they were there (the libary is only a small branch so it’s unsual not to have to reserve from other branches). I believe I am the only person in the blogosphere not to love Divergent so why I got Insurgent..? I might stare at it a bit and see if I want to give her another chance.

I don’t usually download random Kindle freebies but for some reason I ended up on A Hidden Fire and noticed the top review was from Karina. It will probably get forgotten about but worth clicking the button at least! The Seanan McGuire freebie can be downloaded from her website. I have one of the other October Daye shorts already but the one I really want to read (it’s about Tybalt) is part of a Subterranean anthology that isn’t out in ebook. I am trying to work out if it’s £11’s worth of want to read.

Review-wise, HarperCollins get my squishy hugs of love this week for various imprints. I have a whole pile of amazing sounding books to get stuck into! I launched myself at the postie yesterday as I knew he must have The Machine and have read it already. Review will be up closer to release…

Also I have amazing lurkers! Carmen stopped by my wishlist post to offer me her copy of The Demonologist. Thank you so much! People are lovely.
