Incoming!

AKA Showcase Sunday

I've had my eye off the Mo Hayder ball; I thought there would be no more books in the Jack Caffery series and then Poppet sneaked up on me. So excited to catch up with these characters (even if she scares the willies out of me). Emilie and the Hollow World sounds like a fun, YA version of Journey to the Centre of the Earth and I'm looking forward to a bit of adventure. Oh and YAY, a week after everyone else, I have The Eternity Cure! Book buying restrictions going well, even if I had a tiny The Works slip up this week. I mean, £1.99!? Barely counts...

For review:
Poppet by Mo Hayder (Transworld)
Emilie and the Hollow World by Martha Wells (Strange Chemistry)
The Shape Stealer by Lee Carroll (Transworld)
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa (Harlequin Teen)
A Constellation of Vital Phenomena by Anthony Marra (Random House)

Bought:
When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

  2. Super jealous that you have The Eternity Cure as I loved The Immortal Rules. I also received Emilie & The Hollow World and it has such an interesting premise. Great books, enjoy :)

  4. Oh maaan! I went hunting for 'When You Were Mine' at The Works, because I'd seen it on the website already (not that I was looking with a view to buying books or anything *coughcough*), but they didn't have it! *sits in the corner pouting and eating chocolate buttons* :P

    1. Their website is evil...although I have found half the time the things I want our out of stock and never come back into stock ever again. Is a good indicator on whether to go rummage instore though!

    1. I haven't read The Watchtower yet either. May have to get it from the library as I was a bit so-so about the first book.

  9. I think Emilie and the Hollow World looks really good, hope you enjoy it! :-) Hehe, The Works is totally dangerous. Almost as dangerous as the local charity shops round here, which always seem to have something I want to read. :-)
