According to my stats keeping (which are sometimes missing books) I only read 12 books in March but am still slightly ahead on my target to read 160 by the end of the year. I've been a bit distracted by work lately, which probably contributes to the lower figures. However April and May are bursting with amazing releases so I'm going to make an extra effort this month.
Here's what made it onto the blog...
5 stars awarded to: A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, The Machine by James Smythe, Poppet by Mo Hayder, Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher, Among Others by Jo Walton and Amity & Sorrow by Peggy Riley.
Disappointed with: Pretty Girl Thirteen by Liz Coley, Firebrand by Gillian Philip, Dancing to the Flute by Manisha Jolie Amin and Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? by Jeanette Winterson.
Read and awaiting review: The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper and The Crane Wife by Patrick Ness.
As the new tradition, I started off with last month's reading and blogging update. Lloyd Shepherd stopped by the blog to answer my questions on his latest book and historical fiction. Yet more books were added to my wishlist, so many that it started turning blue. In response to yet more drama in the blogosphere, I gave my thoughts on how to experience a good blog tour. It's been a while since I participated in Top Ten Tuesday but how could I resist sharing the books I HAD to have but are still sitting on my shelf unread. March also marked two whole years of blogging about books, books and more books.
