Incoming!

AKA Showcase Sunday

Well I off-loaded 4 bags of books this week to a charity book sale and I removed about 30 books from my TBR yesterday, which more than makes up for my random cheap ebook purchases. Actually, when I say random, they were all wishlist books, as well as Etiquette and Espionage which I found in The Works. Yes, I went into The Works and only bought ONE BOOK!

For review:
The Dance of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin (Indigo)
Revenge Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger (HarperCollins)
The String Diaries by Stephen Lloyd Jones (Headline)
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas (Bloomsbury)
Unseen by Karin Slaughter (Random House)

Bought:
Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger
Extremes: Life, Death and the Limits of the Human Body by Dr Kevin Fong
Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent
We by Yevgeny Zamyatin
No and Me by Delphine de Vigan

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

  2. Book purge, yay! Now tell me, doesn't it feel good to let go ... especially considering the fact that you also made room for new books *cough*.

  7. Oh I got The Dance of the Red Death and Revenge Wears Prada too. I'm stupidly excited for the first one - I LOVED the first book and I've been dying for this one to arrive for ages.

I didn't request Revenge Wears Prada, but I read the first one years ago and I vaguely remember liking it, so I'll give that one a go too :)

  9. I adore The Works - it tempts me to buy books that weren't on my wishlist just because they are cheap! Crown of Midnight looks great and I really need to read Blood Bound as I bought a paper copy when it first came out. :-)

    1. PS. I also meant to add: yay for bookish clearouts! I need to do that too. But I also want to check what I could sell and what has potential swabability, the rest will be charity shopped. But which shop?! We have four!!

    2. Well...it *is* a small branch but I could have easily picked out 3 books to buy. BUT I talked myself down as I really wouldn't have read them any time soon.
