The Month That Was... February 2014

I know February is a short month but where on earth is this year going? Review Copy Cleanup gave me a bit of incentive to bash away at my NetGalley backlog, getting my feedback ratio upto 83.4%. AND I didn't request a single title from there for a whole month. Aren't you proud? I did get one ebook via bookbridgr as I was beta testing and a few paper requests have been accepted, but I really feel I've been cutting back. If people send me things, it's not my fault (please don't stop sending me things).

So March is going to be a month of reading on a whim. That could mean there's lots of random reviews going on or the blog could just continue on as normal. Sometimes I really do just want to read new releases. My boyfriend's now ahead of me on John Wyndham reading (only just, but he's started a second and he's only just read Triffids) so I hope to squish one into my immediate TBR.

March also marks my three year blogoversary!

Here's what made it onto the blog...

I gave a run down of the features of bookbridgr a new resource for bloggers from Headline (currently only UK and Ireland). I gave away an advance copy of The Book of You, the book that's been wooing me with gifts. Christopher Golden answered some of my questions on his joint project with Charlaine Harris.

  1. February really passed in a flash, it's scary how fast 2014 is ending! I cannot believe it still!
Good job on NG ratio! I have been slacking there a bit but I read a bunch of freebies so that has to count. I wish I could use Bookbridg, looks awesome. And I try to cut down on books as well, going quite well, too.
    Happy reading!

  2. Blimey, your NG ratio is awesome! I can only dream of mine every being that high haha. Bookbridgr sounds AWESOME as well, really hoping to get approved for that. You seem to have had a really good month :).
February has absolutely flown by, but looking forward to seeing how you're going to be celebrating your 3 years blogoversary!

  5. That's pretty impressive, so well done, you. Have you always alluded to Firefly in your monthly review titles? If so, then I've missed out. Off now to read your review of Rainbow Rowell...
