The story, written by Simon Furman, is pretty short but it's complete and is full of the charm of the film. It'll bring a smile to your face and while away a few minutes if you're grown-up. The artwork, by Iwan Nazif, is lovely and there's loads of dragons. There's also a few examples of art from the new film and Toothless looks amazing.
Of course, the intended audience is children, and I wouldn't hesitate to gift a copy to dragon-obsessed nearest and dearest. The maturity level is an a par with the film, so might be a bit scary in places for the very young.
Riders of Berk: Dragon Down is published by Titan Comics and is available to buy now. Thanks go to the publisher for providing a copy for review.
