AKA Showcase Sunday

I got some great books from Hot Key Books in the last few weeks and my first 2015 review copy! Annihilation is still free on Kindle if you're interested.

For review:
A Place Called Winter by Patrick Gale (Tinder Press)
This Book is Gay by James Dawson (Hot Key Books)
Land by Alex Campbell (Hot Key Books)
The Memory Keepers by Natasha Ngan (Hot Key Books)
Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari (Vintage)
Crossing the Line by Kerry Wilkinson (Pan Macmillan)

Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer

The Chrysalids by John Wyndham

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

  1. Is that a new Patrick Gale? Have to check it out. And I loved The Chrysalids - it was one of the few books we read at school that really intrigued me.

    1. Yes it is :) I haven't read him before though. This isn't out til March next year IIRC.

  2. Hot Key Books have published some of my favourite reads. I always love the covers on them too! :) Land looks brilliant!

I hope you enjoy all of your books this week! :)

    Alex @ The Shelf Diaries

  3. Phew, lots of bookish beauties, Ellie! Enjoy all! :) I still have Natasha Ngan first book to read, but she is very lucky with her covers. They are always good.

    1. *whispers* I haven't read her first yet either. I liked the sound of this one though.

  4. Great haul. These aren't my kind of books but I do hope you enjoy your new reads :)

  5. Waterstones is sort of bugging me a bit with the James Dawson thing at the moment. Leeds had This Book is Gay but not either of his other ones, including the high-profile Say Her Name. Another branch had Cruel Summer but neither of the more recent ones. And today my most local branch had NONE OF THEM. He's the frickin' Queen of Teen and his books are being pushed no end right now, what's happening? WHY CAN I NOT FIND HIS BOOKS? TAKE MY MONEY, WATERSTONES!

Everyone loves comments, right? I read them all and do my best to visit your blog if you leave a link (and you're not a spambot).
