The Month That Was... September 2014

I'm marvelling at how I ever managed to read 170+ books a year when I had a long working days (I'm including getting to and from the office in that longness). I started a new job last month (yay) but it means no longer working from home (boo). So please bear with me whilst I get back into a routine that gives me time for reading and blogging alongside all those things like eating and making sure my clothes are on the right way.

As you can imagine it's been a bit slower here than usual but at least it hasn't turned into a barren wasteland. And I did get a mention in The Observer (which also meant it went on the Guardian website). I just feel I didn't get much chance to maximise any new traffic. If you're new here and still with me, thank you!

October brings with it such delights as Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon and Ninja Book Swapping.

Here's what made it onto the blog...

Reviews:

5 stars awarded to: The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, Vivian Versus America by Katie Coyle + Visions by Kelley Armstrong.

Read and awaiting review: Saga Volume 3 by Brian K. Vaughan + Fiona Staples, The Winter Long by Seanan McGuire, The Immortal Crown by Richelle Mead + The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham.

Blogged about:

I got some new books (I've fallen off the waggon a bit with Incoming posts, there have been a few more, sneaky purchases than this). If you'd like to keep up-to-date with my newly acquired books, follow me on Instagram. I went to see Before I Go to Sleep at the cinema.

  1. For a busy lady adjusting to a new work routine you still seemed to have managed to find time for the blog. You put me to shame.
