Top Ten 2017

Drumroll please! I'm sure this isn't the moment you've all been waiting for, but I am pleased to reveal my top ten books read in 2017.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

The Real-Town Murders by Adam Roberts
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin

Sofia Khan is Not Obliged by Ayisha Malik
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

The Radium Girls by Kate Moore
Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

Moonrise by Sarah Crossan
The Arrival of Missives by Aliya Whiteley

  1. Nevernight nearly made it onto my list too, but I hated the beginning so much that I just couldn't. I mean, I loved it in the end, but any book that I come within an inch of giving up on, just doesn't make it onto my Best Of... list!

I have The Fifth Season on my TBR which I'm really looking forward to, and I've added The Arrival of Missives on my wishlist, thanks to you.

    1. It must get the award for biggest turnaround :D

  2. I've heard so much about The Fifth Season this year and I don't think I've seen anything negative about it. The books are on sale for some reason on Amazon at the moment so I *may* have just bought the whole trilogy for just over £10. Oops?

I have Nevernight on my Kindle and really just need to get cracking and read it. I want to save it for when I have some time to really invest in it though so perhaps it can be my Spring holiday read.

AND what with you and Hanna both saying how good The Radium Girls is, that's become a 2018 Must Read. So many books, so little time!

    1. I have been trying not to buy books on Amazon but I had vouchers and needed to buy a puzzle mat, so ended up with The Stone Sky for TWO QUID?! Madness. I hope you love it, the first book really is something different.

Make sure you have tissues ready for The Radium Girls!

Everyone loves comments, right? I read them all and do my best to visit your blog if you leave a link (and you're not a spambot).
