+ International Giveaway!

My blog turned seven in March but I didn’t get round to a blogoversary post. It’s that point in my blogging life that I just take it or leave it about posting stuff. To be honest I didn’t have much to add from previous years’ posts, just plodding along. If you’re struggling with your blogging life, just remember we all go through ups and downs, and just do what you want to do. Even if that means blogging erratically.

March has been an odd month here with snow and ice which is pretty unusual where I live. It’s probably thrown me off my reading a bit and I’ve not read a huge amount of late. With spring finally here, I’ve tried to do some gardening and catch up on other stuff.

What I Have Watched

I was happy to see Annihilation had gone straight to Netflix (I’m not a fan of the cinema experience). I am pretty fuzzy on the plot of the book, but can remember the general uneasy atmosphere and the beauty, which they have captured so well. There were things that I totally don’t remember from the book and the ending was a bit bizarre. It was probably a bit more obvious in explaining things, but I can’t believe I didn’t get the whole self destruction thing considering the name of the book! It’s great to see a female cast too.

I got to the end of Mad Men, what a weird finale, but I am happy about some things. I really felt for Peggy and Joan when it seemed like all their progress for women in the workplace had been reversed. If you happen to be watching this on UK Netflix, be aware the last half a season isn’t available yet (but can be watched on NOW TV).
