AKA In My Mailbox
A more restrained week with only one title that’s my doing! One was a surprise gift from a friend, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland illustrated by Yayoi Kusama. The idea of paper books become more of a collector’s item has been thrown around a lot recently and I won’t mind that if they end up like this. Beautiful cloth bound book with lovely, modern illustrations.
The second book is The Evolution of Inanimate Objects by Harry Karlinsky from The Friday Project for review. I do not believe the action man has anything to do with the book, before you ask!

The big temptress that Amazon is, went and reduced another one of my wishlist books on the Kindle. The Lover’s Dictionary by David Levithan is only 99p at the moment.
In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.

I do love well illustrated, fun, collector's versions of good books. Have fun with that.
Ohh I love the look of that edition of Alice in Wonderland. I saw it in Penguin's newsletter, it's just lovely. 🙂
i'd be interested in seeing the alice in wonderland illustrations. that's such a great book and is just made for illustration. i don't think print books will really die but digital is making a big push. i admit that i like both. happy reading!
There are a few "inside the book" images on the Amazon link above. I asked Penguin for some to feature on the blog but they never replied 🙁
I bought the lover dictionary tonight for my kindle! Can't wait to read it! That edition of alice is amazing too! Enjoy!!
