I’ve not been around much this past week and haven’t read any French books yet, although I have posted a video recipe courtesy of Gallic Books. Most unlike me, I had managed to schedule my posts in advance and therefore he blog was still busy whilst I disappeared off to land of geekiness (aka London Film & Comic Con):

Split Second by Cath Staincliffe
Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk by Ben Fountain
Also reviewed:
The Goddess Legacy by Aimee Carter
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
The City’s Son by Tom Pollock
The Uninvited by Liz Jensen
Someone I Loved by Anna Gavalda
July Sci-Fi Link-Up | Tarte Rosette Tricolore

“bus hoarding”
Books are much easier to hoard that buses…
“did the song of achilles make you cry”
Yes, it did, *sniff*
“does iliad and odyssey cover all greek mythology”
NO! There is so much more.
“straight blog”
Um, I’m not sure my blog has a sexuality, it’s a blog!
“novel about head transplants michael frayn”
Sounds disturbing.

How cool that you disappeared to London's Comic Con! I am a bit jealous! 🙂
London Comic Con looks too great to be missing it!
I am reading "When Nights were Cold" by Susanna Jones. My first review copy, yay!
I saw your photo's on Instagram. Very jealous!
"novel about head transplants" I'm pretty sure I watched a movie about that when I was younger. I'm also pretty sure it gave me nightmares.
I've always thought blogs were asexual. But who knows what they do when we're not around?
Hope you like Shadow of Night – I'm hoping to try the first one soon.
Happy reading this week 🙂

Hope you had a fantastic time at London Comic Con. And Shadow of Night is one book I hope to get to soon too – I really liked the 1st book in the series.
