Is it really May already? There are so many books that I put off thinking I have months to read them and now, there’s no time at all! *flails* It’s a good thing I don’t put myself under any pressure to review to deadlines. Despite a 24 hour readathon, I only read 12 books in April. I’ve really been quite distracted and busy which hasn’t helped my reading. Fingers crossed I’ll have a more productive month in May. However I did read some amazing books and had some help from guest bloggers.
Here’s what made it onto the blog…
5 stars awarded to: Follow Me Down by Tanya Byrne, The Humans by Matt Haig, The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes and The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa.
Disappointed with: The Crane Wife by Patrick Ness, Mayhem by Sarah Pinborough and The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper.
Read and awaiting review: Zenn Scarlett by Christian Schoon, Kitty Steals the Show by Carrie Vaughn, The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and Care of Wooden Floors by Will Wiles.

I went to London Book Fair and blogged about whether it’s worthwhile to visit as a blogger.

I like how you say you "only" read 12 books in April. I read 5 and was over the moon. Haha. 😀
12 books is still pretty awesome, more than I managed! Hope you have a great May 🙂
*Only* 12? O.O
Hehe, I know what you mean though – I don't know how it's May already, and I have so many books that need reading! Glad that Bout of Books is coming up… should hopefully get a nice amount read then. 😀
I think 12 books is pretty good for one month. Admittedly, I read a few more than that, but even so, it's a good amount. A pity you had some disappointed books. Hopefully, this month will give you many more great books.
I'm so bummed that the Crane Wife fell flat. I was really looking forward to an adult book by Ness 🙁
