The third Popsugar Reading Challenge prompt is to find a cover with a heart, diamond, club, or spade on it. I have so many options for this one I am very tempted to tick off all four shapes. The easiest to find, especially if you read romance, is going to be a love heart:

Love Is for Losers by Wibke Brueggemann
Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman

Bonus points for an anatomical heart:

Breaking and Mending by Joanna Cannon
Little by Edward Carey

Since this prompt is inspired by playing card suits, another path is to seek those symbols out, or books with cards on the cover. I am most likely to use Ace of Spades for this prompt myself.

Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
This Coven Won’t Break by Isabel Stirling

If you’re into gardening books you can hunt something down with a spade on it. I had a quick look at Monty Don’s covers but they didn’t seem to be decorated with gardening tools so you’re on your own with that one.

If you look carefully diamonds can often be found as part of the design element (or look for people wearing sparkly jewellery):

All Our Hidden Gifts by Caroline O’Donoghue

I’m totally assuming the buildings on this street are clubs:

Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

Do you like cover prompts? I love the scavenger hunt aspect, especially when there are so many options!
