Can you believe I’ve being doing Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathons for ten years? I have never quite made the full 24 hours, I think I managed 22 hours one year, but these days I have a good old sleep in the middle. It’s not too late to sign up and don’t worry if you can’t commit to the whole 24 hours, just join in when you can.
It’s been a while since I spent a good solid chunk of weekend reading, so I’m looking forward to it. I have stroopwafels and spicy peanuts at the ready and a big stack of books!
I might save the adaptation of Shadow and Bone as a post readathon treat, but meanwhile I still haven’t got round to picking up Rule of Wolves so that’s on my TBR for this weekend. I’ve added a pile of graphic novels and comics to keep me going when I get tired and a few other shorter reads.
I think I have picked out the right October Daye book here, I am pretty behind and probably need to recap where I am in the series, but I felt like getting into it again. I’m also keen to read Witches Steeped in Gold but I know I won’t get through all these. I can but try!
Once Broken Faith by Seanan McGuire
Everyone Dies Famous in a Small Town by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock
Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire
Mooncakes by Wendy Xu + Suzanne Walker
The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’Neill
Moonstruck: Magic to Brew by Grace Ellis + Shae Beagle
When I Arrived at the Castle by Emily Carroll
Let me know if you’re taking part and I’ll swing by your blog (or social media) tomorrow to cheer you on!
