I’ve barely read anything in July so it seems particularly cruel to have so many more enticing books coming this way in August! I need my reading mojo back, pronto. Also why have there been so many Romeo and Juliet retellings this year?
As always, dates mostly refer to UK print editions, and so books may already be out in different formats or territories. Links go to Goodreads and * indicates I’ve received a review copy from the publisher.

I totally get wanting your reading mojo back because it’s been a struggle to get into books and to also enjoy any books these past two months. So many of these titles are new to me but I’m very excited for The Hundred Loves of Juliet, Foxglove, and My Roommate is a Vampire! I hope you find your reading mojo soon and that you get to enjoy many of these books. 😃
Can’t wait for Vampires of El Norte and I really wanna pick up My Roommate is a Vampire! No idea on the Romeo and Juliet retellings, sometimes there’s a clear reason for the popularity of something, and sometimes it just seems to re-enter the zeitgeist in an odd way.
I have Family Lore and An Echo in the City as well as a few others to read this month. A good month for publishing!
