The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
I’m slow to the sign up party…mostly because the blog was starting to get overloaded with readathon type posts and I wanted to leave a gap. But yes, as always, I will be taking part in the Curse of the Readathon Bout of Books, the low-pressure, week-long readathon.
Some potential goals:
De-stress
Do not waste hours clicking around on the internet without purpose
Comment on as many participating blogs as I can (I might start that now)
Read at least one personal read
Read lots of digital shorts to make myself look productive
Catch up on review writing
Get Amanda into Twitter jail.

Just let me dust off this blog thing, I have a review for you! One of my anticipated reads released during lockdown was the follow-up to An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. If you read that, of course will will be dying to know what happened to…
I don't think you'll have trouble getting Amanda in Twitter jail, so far that has always happened 😀
Gotta have at least one easy goal 😉
You know full well you'll procrastinate, we all, always do. 😉
Ha. I appreciate any and all help to get me into Twitter jail! It's on my goals list this time, but the newer version of TweetDeck is cramping my Twitter jail style a bit.
Oh man, I hadn't thought of reading some digital stories. Great idea!
LOL I love your goals, most of them I need to stick with as well.
Yay, glad you're taking part! 🙂 These are great goals, think I might use the 'personal reading' one as well… it's been all about the review books recently. And getting Amanda into Twitter jail is something we can all help out with. 😉
Ha, I wouldn't worry about being late to the sign-up party… I literally finished typing mine frantically about fifteen minutes ago!
I'm definitely with you on restricting Internet time wastage. I've gotten a lot better at that recently (although I'm not really sure how), but I'd love to make it into an actual Thing, not just a phase!
