+ International Giveaway
February included an exhausting but fun bookshop crawl, getting our raised bed ready for vegetables and not a huge amount of actual reading. I’ve realised I am more likely to read on the morning train and on my lunch break if I have something I can hold with one hand. So I’ve left the hardbacks at home and taken the Kindle with me this week. I’ll see how I cope with two books on the go at once. That’s not normal for me!

I started doing the #squeakybookishlibrary Instagram challenge last month but only got half way through. I like challenges but I wish they had longer timescales than a month to complete.
I’ve been having a play with Litsy as it’s crops up a lot during readathons. I’m not sure if I have the capacity for another platform but we’ll see. My username is patchworkbunny if you’d like to add me.
Let’s see what I ticked off my on my challenge lists:
#ReadHarder
2. Read a debut novel
Hold Back the Stars by Katie Khan
12. Read a fantasy novel
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
#DiversityBingo2017
Neuro-diverse Main Character (Own Voices)
Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones*
Main Character of Colour in Science Fiction/Fantasy
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Bisexual Main Character (Own Voices)
Masquerade by Laura Lam
*I missed that Liesel was bi-polar but JJ talks about it in her guest post.
You can win any book I reviewed on the blog in January and you’ll get a nice shiny new copy (usually ordered from Wordery, so you’ll get a cute bookmark too). It’s open internationally and you don’t even need to follow me! I do double check extra entries though, so don’t try and cheat.
Here’s what made it onto the blog…
