Compared to the rest of the northern hemisphere, we really didn’t get much snow, but the light dusting we did get is pretty unusual for where I live. Scully enjoyed sniffing and eating it. I did not get a snow day.

I read an amazing 16 books in January but I can already feel the slow down. Maybe it’s because I’m currently reading two books with quite depressing topics. I need something a bit lighter to get me through the meh months before spring.
This Week I Finished:
In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire ☆☆☆
I was a bit disappointed in the 4th Wayward Children novella. It seemed more of a short story idea stretched out. It’s about debt and fair value (and I suspect something about market value, since it’s set in a Goblin Market and talks about other economic things).
POPSUGAR: 3. A book written by a musician (fiction or nonfiction)
I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman ☆☆☆☆☆
I loved this! I’m not usually into books about music or bands, but this is more about fandom, from both sides, both the good and the bad. The audiobook narrators were also a delight to listen to.
POPSUGAR: 9. A book you meant to read in 2018
POPSUGAR: 9/52
ATY: 9/52
Goodreads: 16/100
This Week’s Reviews:
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi ☆☆☆☆
Origins: How the Earth Made Us by Lewis Dartnell ☆☆☆
Currently:
Reading: All the Lonely People by David Owen

I Was Born for This sounds really interesting! I love books about music.
I've read the first two of the Wayward Children books. Liked the second less than the first, so should try the third soon to see whether I'll go on! They ARE nice and short, so not that much of a commitment, but sooooo dark.
We got a text to possibly expect snow here. That happens about once every forty years. My weekly update
I chose a light-hearted book after reading two dystopian ones. I like a balance. You read a lot of books in January. Wow
