I just don’t have enough hours in the day to do everything I want to. It’s been a couple of weeks since my last check in because frankly all I’ve done is play Animal Crossing and watch Squid Game! I keep meaning to pick up a book just after I’ve done a few tasks on my island and the game just sucks me right in and next thing I know, it’s time for bed.
I suppose I could blog about AC but I’m not sure if anyone is interested. My Happy Home Network ID is RA-3021-2108-7371 if you want to take a peek. I haven’t done a dream address yet as my island is a bit of a mess.
There are loads of mushrooms in the woods at the moment, I especially like this unusual dark red one that I haven’t seen before. Google isn’t being very helpful in identifying it.
I have finished one whole book, Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? by Caitlin Doughty, which was morbidly entertaining. There’s a crematorium being built up the road and this has answered some of my random questions about the whole thing. I’ve also been listening to The Red Monarch, the latest in the Brontë Sisters Mysteries series.
I am going to make a bit of effort to at least read for half an hour every day. I have a few more prompts to finish for ATY and don’t want to be cramming over the holidays. Plus I have all these lovely pre-orders to read.
New books acquired:
The Fell by Sarah Moss
Roxy by Neal + Jarrod Shusterman
Lore Olympus Volume One by Rachel Smythe
Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman + Jay Kristoff
[gifted] Wild and Wicked Things by Francesca May (Orbit)
The Apollo Murders by Chris Hadfield (ebook)
OK, OK, here are some Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise pics… The DLC is totally worth it if you enjoy designing in the game (and you don’t have to faff around getting the items in the first place).
