I’d just like to share…I finally got myself a Kindle! I think Amazon should get an award for easiest straight out the box experience. It had managed to sync my existing purchases even before I’d got to the home page.
It will not be replacing real books in my life.
Uses:
Review books (it’s getting increasingly common for them to be provided in ebook format).
Giant books with so many pages I can hardly lift them.
When I get to the end of a book and am desperate to read the next in the series.
Classics (If I love them I will buy the Vintage Classics edition at a later date).
Books that are only easily available in ebook format (eg. Angelic and House of Silence).
Books with embarrassing covers (OK maybe I’m being a bit silly on this one…)

So you are one of those reported in the news yesterday, who are increasing the sales of books we would rather not be seen reading π
Enjoy the Kindle. Look forward to hearing how you get on with it.
