newbooks magazine is, um, a magazine all about new books! It’s a UK publication that also gives subscribers a newly published (or sometimes pre-publication) book each issue for the cost of postage. It is a flat rate for postage so I just like to think of my bi-monthly book as costing £2.75! They also sell off any remaining books cheaply in the next issue.

I wasn’t able to match the covers up as there’s mostly only hardback or non-UK editions on Goodreads, so they may look different in the shops. My initial instinct is Nourishment by Gerard Woodward but I’ll have a good peruse of the magazine first. I’ll post again at the weekend with some of the other books that catch my eye.
Whilst I’ll allow myself the featured book, the book buying ban has to come in force pretty soon. Just waiting for the dribs and drabs to come in and then I’ll start to work on the TBR pile. I think a month-long ban will be enough…can’t be torturing myself!
