We’ve been given a free rein for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and the Bookish) and get to choose our own topics. I am often drawn to books because of their titles and these are some of my favourites from my shelves.

Runner-up goes to The Helmet of Horror (Victor Pelevin) due to the hilarity it triggered in one of my colleagues (if you don’t get it, be assured your mind is pure and innocent).

Great list! Christopher Moore has some brilliant book titles that really match the surreal humour of his writing.
I like When God Was a Rabbitt. The cover of that book is lovely as well.
Come check ot my list for this week
Crazy titles! I must say my interest is piqued by "A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil"
Very unique titles! Sometimes, you just need a title to stand out from all the ten others that have the same name. 🙂 It's refreshing to see those kinds of book titles. Oh, I recommend checking out Tom Holt's books. There are some very unique and funny titles written by him. Happy reading!

I did something similar after the book blogger hop. Made me realise just how many great titles there are out there. I had Hollow Chocolate Bunnies on my list too. I almost listed The Wind-up Bird Chronicles but went for Hard-Boiled Wonderland instead. Murakami certainly has a thing for funny titles. I forgot all about Christopher Brookmyre. He has a few good ones.
Alright … I need to check out those hollow chocolate bunnies now 😉 !
Had to look up The Earth Hums in B Flat and it is now in my to-read list! Thanks!
Hahahah! What fantastic titles!!! I've put them all on my to-read list, because they sound so awesome. Thanks! 🙂
hahah brilliant titles! and I LOVE the runner up one! 😉
I love #2. I love it when you have no idea what the book is about based on the title. New Follower. Check out my blog when you get the chance http://www.thenovelstudent.blogspot.com/
