Simon and Gav of The Readers podcast announced their Summer Book Club list today. You can learn more about their choices by listening to the podcast but I’d just like to spread the word. The selection is very reminiscent of the eclectic hodge-podge of books I read and review myself so it will good to see others reading outside their comfort zones. It’s also a bit different from your average online book club.
Pure by Andrew Miller
The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan
Packing For Mars by Mary Roach
Now You See Me by S.J. Bolton
Redemption in Indigo by Karen Lord
Bleakly Hall by Elaine di Rollo
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Half Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan
You can join in discussions on their Goodreads group or volunteer to go on the show.
I have already read The Last Werewolf and Ready Player One, but I will be picking up the other titles in order to join in the discussion. Let me know if you’re joining in too!
