I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time tweaking things on the blog that I doubt anyone but me will look at. I’ve added follow links to the sidebar, so please give them a click, and I’ll be running a celebratory giveaway tomorrow, so keep your eyes out.
This week I finished This Coven Won’t Break on audio at long last. It just wasn’t as good as the first book, which had a cute romance and a dash of mystery that the sequel was lacking. I also didn’t like the audiobook narrator, she sounded a bit annoyed all the way through and then did a squeaky voice for the trans kid, like she didn’t know what to do with him.

I also read Maxwell’s Demon, the new book by the author of The Raw Shark Texts, which is out today. Go read my review. Yup, I posted two reviews this week. I know, what has got into me? I hereby recommend giving your blog a makeover to rejuvenate your blog mojo.
On the blog this week is my five star review of Black Sun and On My Radar for February.
With January out the way, lets look at some of my reading stats. I read 12 books (although one of these was technically a short story), with 6 by BAME authors and my average rating was 3.9. This averaged out at 122 page read per day, which sounds about right. I also acquired 12 books, so the first month in a long time that my TBR didn’t grow. I mean, it didn’t shrink either but… *shrugs*
I was all set to announce completion of my Discworld puzzle of The Shades, which I got for Christmas, but the final piece is MISSING! It has stolen my moment of satisfaction. The little blighter.
Other than that disappointment I thought it was a great puzzle, lots of interest, no large swathes of one colour and well cut pieces. Discworld Emporium is all sold out at the moment but I will probably try another when they come back in stock.

Nothing more frustrating than a missing puzzle piece! I’ve made a few patches because I couldn’t stand not having it look completed.
Josh did suggest making a fake piece but I think I’ll just try and forget about it! Need a new puzzle now though.
Ugh, the dreaded missing piece! I’ve had that experience — such a disappointment. Here’s hoping your next puzzle is 100% complete!
