Phew! It’s over and oddly I’m not that tired. Looking forward to having a nice hot shower though and maybe having a power nap. I’ll be posting proper reviews of the books I’ve read, so please follow me if you’d like to stay in touch!
A big thank you to all the cheerleaders, if you visited or chatted on Twitter I’ll be sure to check out your blog when I’m re-energised.
Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
Books that have kept me up reading into the night in the past have included Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, Rachel Caine’s Weather Warden series and anything by Kelley Armstrong.
Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I would like to see the intro meme posted a bit earlier on the day. I typed up my starting post in advance and ended up having to post again 20 minutes in as I saw the meme was up.
What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
I can’t compare to other years but it was great to have cheerleader support and keeping track on Twitter with the hastag.
How many books did you read?
3.5
What were the names of the books you read?
Snuff
Star Gazing
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Killed at the Whim of a Hat
Which book did you enjoy most?
I loved both Snuff and Star Gazing for different reasons.
Which did you enjoy least?
Out of 4 I’ve not got much choice, I do love Hitchhiker’s Guide but it was a re-read so I knew what was coming.
How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I’d like to do it again as a reader but maybe make some time to do the mini challenges. With one every hour it’s hard to find the time to blog and read!

I'm looking at your list and kicking myself- I should have remembered I had Terry Pratchett on my Kindle, when I was having a bit of the third-book-now-what blues!
Here's my plan for the challenges- I'm going to go back and recycle a bunch of them as blog posts in the next couple weeks, when I'm feeling otherwise uninspired. I think some of them were too interesting to just slog through fast on Readathon day.
Well done in finishing the readathon! Sounds like you had fun doing it. Wish I had been able to too. Never mind, took part by donating. A penny per page as promised!
You did great! Terrific idea to have the starting meme up before the start. I ended up posting that quite late because I wanted to get some reading time in to start my Read-a-Thon.
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy is an excellent choice for a readathin. Well done.
Congratulations of completing your read-a-thong, well done x
