AKA Showcase Sunday
More ebooks bought than normal this week as there was a mysterious rash of 20p Kindle books…some of which I already have but others seemed silly to pass up. I mean what else can you get for 20p these days? They can at least lurk on the Kindle for emergencies!
I haven’t read any of the Dragons of Pern books so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pick up Sky Dragons and get what’s going on. But dragons, yey! I don’t get many books about dragons coming my way.

For Review:
Three Strong Women by Marie Ndiay (Quercus)
Sky Dragons by Anne + Todd McCaffrey (Bantam)
Bought:
The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett + Stephen Baxter
The Horse Dancer by Jojo Moyes
Monday to Friday Man by Alice Peterson
Unsuitable Men by Pippa Wright
Playground by 50 Cent
Rupture by Simon Lelic
The Facility by Simon Lelic
Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

Now that is what I call a productive week – lots of books coming in!

Dragons and Pratchett and bargains – oh my!
I took a look through the Kindle offers in the week but the only one that appealed to me was Monday to Friday Man and I picked that up from The Works recently! I was almost tempted by 20p though, you're not wrong. You can buy a Freddo for 20p. That's gonna last you two or three bites. *sadface*
Guess why I finally caved and ordered myself a Kindle … the bargains, of course!! Amazon Germany' Daily Deals (all English too, apparently the fixed book price you have with German books doesn't make this possible) and I found myself constantly drooling over those.
20p? It'd be inexcusable not to buy books at that price!
I read your review of The Long Earth and I really want to read it but even the kindle version is pricey on amazon. Maybe I'll wait a while and see if the price will come down. It looks too good to miss 🙂 20p is just too good to resist!

Interesting books you have there! I can't wait to see what you think of them.
Happy Reading,

Sounds like a really cool book haul! Hope you enjoy reading them 😉
Here's my Showcase Sunday
You have so many great books again! I just got my copy of Jojo Moyes's Me Before You so I can't wait to read that one. 🙂 I can't wait to hear what you think of this book.
The Alice Peterson book looks really good as well!
That's a pretty impressive haul. I'd love to know what kind of 'emergencies' you envisage on the horizon that would necessitate cracking into your emergency Kindle supplies – a book drought?!

Well, if I ever get to the bottom of my NetGalley pile, I like to have random books on my Kindle if I need to go somewhere but can't realisticly take a big pile of books with me. So nice to have a selection on the Kindle – which I don't usually buy stuff for.
I'm so pleased to see that you bought Rupture – I love that book! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
