AKA Showcase Sunday
I’ve already read The Shock of the Fall and loved it (review coming soon) although it has left me wanting to read something upbeat. I’ve also started Attachments already, gone are the days of books lingering unread on my shelves for years (hah, I can kid myself). The One Dollar Horse is such a pretty edition, it has bright pink edging on the pages! Orange is the New Black is for book group; it’s one of those things I keep meaning to watch on Netflix but I didn’t know it was a book first (non-fiction too).
Apparently I already have a copy of Someone Else’s Skin but I can’t for the life of me find it. If I unearth it, I might give this copy away. I also got a creepy Valentine‘s gift…

The One Dollar Horse by Lauren St John (Orion)
The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer (HarperCollins)
The Dead Wife’s Handbook by Hannah Beckerman (Penguin)
Unravelling Oliver by Liz Nugent (Penguin)
Someone Else’s Skin by Sarah Hilary (Headline)
Bought:
Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Every Day by David Levithan
Showcase Sunday is hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea.

I love your haul 🙂 I borrowed Attachments from the library so I'm hoping to read that soon! I also agree with you about trying to read books that have been on your shelves for ages, its my goal to get through some of my own this year 🙂 Enjoy your books! 🙂

I saw that rose! Very creepy 🙂 Lovely haul, Ellie! I've got Fangirl on my kindle, but God only knows when I'll get to it. Love your new look for the blog, very light and easy on the eye (adorable header, lol)
Nice haul. I always love seeing what people get. I liked Ranibow Rowell's Eleanor and Park, so hoping that Fangirl will be just as good.

Awesome haul! I heard so much about Orange is the New Black, I cannot wait to start the show, and see the book as well. And yay for Fangirl, will start it soon.
Happy reading!
Yay for Rowell! I love all three of her books, but Attachments might be my favourite. Hard to say. 🙂
I watched the first few episodes of Orange is the New Black and thought it was pretty good.
Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

Nice haul this week! 🙂
I got Every Day a bit back. I have the same edition, it is so pretty! 🙂 I have heard amazing things about it and hope to read it soon! 🙂
As for Fangirl, that is at the top of my wishlist. I read Attachments by the same author and it was fabulous! 🙂
Enjoy all of your books!
My Showcase Sunday 🙂
I love your new blog look! Very nice.
Great haul, I really want to read Someone Else's Skin. Hope you enjoy them all.
I'm looking forward to seeing your review on The Shock of the Fall. Can't wait to start reading my copy. 🙂
Orange is the New Black is so interesting. I read this last summer. I couldn't put it down. Very different from the TV show though. Hope you enjoy it.
And thank you for checking out my Showcase Sunday post. 🙂 x
You had good week in new books, I hope you enjoy them all.
I bought "Attachments" this week – couldn't find it in London or Southampton, but there was one copy in the Isle of Wight Waterstone's so I snatched it up. Can't wait to read it! I've also had my eye on "The Shock of the Fall" and so I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts about it. I bought "The Explorer" last weekend too, after remembering your review of it and its sequel.
I can't wait to see what you think of Fangirl! I am going to read the Attachments next that's for sure. I just love Rowell's writing style. I also read Every Day and it is an interesting and different type of book.
Oooh, fantastic haul!
Colourful! I watched the first ep of Orange Is The New Black the other day, it's pretty good. Didn't know it was based on a book either. 🙂
Great wee haul, I haven't had an incoming like that for ages although with all the studying it is just as well! The only one I have read is the dead wifes handbook, I wasn't sure I was going to like it for the first wee bit but then I really got into it.
Have you gave the place a facelift? Seems a lot brighter from my last visit.
