My brain has been taken over by house buying stuff. Books have failed me; they didn’t prepare me for the stress. It’s odd how characters never really go through buying a house in books (or if they do it’s magically easy). I think there’s a future blog post in there somewhere…
In the meantime, blogging has been a steady trickle. I am managing to force out a few thoughts about books now and then. It’s always frustrating when reading could be the perfect distraction only your brain doesn’t allow you to concentrate long enough on it.
I’d also like to thank Joy for my Ninja Book Swap gift. I would have normally done an incoming post by now but, you know, stuff. Go check out her blog!
I promise to reinstate my monthly giveaways in the future but for now, my blogoversary personalised box of goodies is still up for grabs and next week there’ll be a chance to win Marie Rutkoski’s Winner’s Trilogy.
Here’s what made it onto the blog…

Having moved three times in the last four years, with two of those moves involving house buying, I feel your pain. The house two down from ours is for sale if you'd like to live in sunny Hall Green 🙂
Hah, bit of a long commute, although probably a lot cheaper than the one we're buying down here.
