I’ve been enjoying the beautiful spring weather that arrived immediately after the Saharan Dust Day of Gloom. I’ve shared my spring TBR and a review of A Lesson in Vengeance.

I did add a Ko-Fi tip jar to my blog last week. I never bothered before as I always felt I earned good enough money from my day job, however I’m being made redundant at the end of April, so if someone feels like they’d like to buy me a coffee, I wouldn’t turn it down. I’m in an OK place financially though, I’m going to take a little break and work on a secret project, which at the very least will help me learn some skills. I’ll also make myself available for freelance testing, so if anyone’s working on a project they need a few days testing on, think of me!

Went to the beach at the weekend and it was rather windy, but the chilly sea did not put Scully off one bit.

I spent ages trying to get a good photo of both her ears flying in the wind, but they only seemed to do it the second I put my phone away. She did let me take a photo of her raggedy chin though. She’s looking a bit less like she’s been in a fight. 🤣

Last week I read a couple of review books, so full reviews will be imminent. Until the Last of Me by Sylvain Neuvel is the follow-up to A History of What Comes next, and it goes in a bit of a different direction, but I still enjoyed this sort-of-alternative history.

The other book was Confessions of an Alleged Good Girl by Joya Goffney, which I just flew through. The premise is not one I would have picked up if I had not thoroughly enjoyed Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry but I’m glad I read it.

Sign up for the next Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is open. It’s on the 30th April and I’m looking forward to it since I missed the last one.
