AKA Showcase Sunday
I was doing so well and then I had to go run the Charity Shop Gaunlet yesterday. I just can’t resist (and at the end there is The Works). I didn’t even get what I set out to buy either but picked up a couple of charity shop bargains including a like new cookery book for £2.49! I also ordered a copy of Jack Glass for the gorgeous cover (it doesn’t disappoint in person).

Bought:
Jack Glass by Adam Roberts
Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maguire
Lost by Gregory Maguire
Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater
Anno Dracula by Kim Newman
Curry Easy by Madhur Jaffrey
Dance of Flames by Janni Nell
Island of Secrets by Janni Nell

The works is always my downfall, can't resist a cheap book (or 3), that last one has a lovely cover.

I have Anno Dracula and the sequel on my TBR 🙂 I accidentally bought the second book first so I immediately ran out and bought the first… which I still haven't read.
I'm really looking forward to them, but… SO MANY BOOKS!
I just don't go in The Works anymore, too dangerous!
The cover of Jack Glas is just wonderful!
Wow, you're right these all have lovely covers! I hope they're lovely reads too.
Here is my weekly haul post.
Have a good week,

Aaaah, The Works. How I love and fear thee, with thy demonically enchanting 3-for-£5 shelves! 😛
I love the cover of Jack Glass, off to investigate that one further!
Fantastic pile of books, Ellie! Works is pure evil. If I go there I end up buying loads! :)Really want to read Anno Dracula, heard so much about this book. Also, Jack Glass looks fantastic! Enjoy all!
Lost and Mirror, Mirror look great! 🙂 Happy reading ^^

I read so much about The Works but I've never visited one – I'm not sure if there is a branch local to me. Probably for the best if there isn't judging by your haul! I am off work today and itching for a charity shop tour but I think my boyfriend will lose the plot if I bring any more books into this flat without buying another bookcase first…
Jack Glass has just gone straight on my wishlist, and I am intrigued by Mirror, Mirror as well. Enjoy!
